Gate Installation in Amarillo and Canyon, TX

Panhandle wind and Panhandle acreage decide which gates last up here. All-State builds and hangs gates for Amarillo, Canyon and the surrounding country from the Amarillo & Canyon Fence Supply Center on I-27 at Rockwell Road, between Amarillo and Canyon — cantilever roll gates for wide openings, chain link drive gates twelve feet and wider, wood and ornamental iron driveway gates, and walk gates that match the fence. We’ve built fence and gates in West Texas since 1979, and we fix gates that have stopped closing right, including ones we didn’t build.

Why a cantilever gate for a wide opening?

For a wide working entry, a cantilever roll gate is usually the gate we’d put in. It’s the heaviest gate we fabricate, and it needs the least maintenance over time. It rolls parallel with the fence line on heavy-duty rollers mounted to heavy-duty gate posts, so it doesn’t take up any room inside your yard — you can still park a trailer or stack materials near the gate — and ground that isn’t level doesn’t affect how it opens and closes. If you ever add an electric gate operator, a cantilever gate is a lot cheaper to automate.

A swing gate still makes sense on a narrower opening with room to swing — it’s the simpler build. Tell us the opening width and what drives through it, and we’ll say which one fits. Our cantilever gates are chain link. On a wood fence, a double swing gate on a metal frame spans up to 14 feet, or 7 feet without the frame, and an ornamental iron slide gate covers openings up to 24 feet.

Chain link drive gates

Single and double swing chain link gates for yards, lots and acreage, twelve feet and wider, with drop rods to hold the leaves and hinges sized for the weight. The fabric is galvanized after weaving, so the zinc covers the cut ends and knuckles where box-store chain link rusts first. Vinyl-coated gates in black, green or brown are available by special order.

Why does my gate sag or drag?

Usually the hinge-side post has leaned, the gate has racked out of square under its own weight, or the hinges have worn. Wide gates in the wind do all three faster. We re-hang, re-post and rebuild gates around Amarillo and Canyon, including gates we didn’t build. Small repairs that don’t involve setting a new post can often be done the same day or within one to two days; if a post has to be reset, the job waits two days for the required underground utility locate before we dig.

Automatic gates

All-State is a LiftMaster Professional partner, and our gate operator technician travels to jobs from all three Fence Supply Centers, so Amarillo and Canyon gates get the same service. We add operators, keypads, remotes and exit loops to new gates and to existing gates that are sound and move freely, and we diagnose and repair operators of every make and model. A cantilever gate is the easiest gate to automate well, because the operator isn’t fighting the wind.

What changes the price of a gate?

The type and size of the gate matters most: a standard walk gate, a large double drive gate and a cantilever gate are very different jobs. After that, height, the posts the gate needs, whether an old gate or fence has to come out, and how far the site is from our Fence Supply Center. Every gate is priced after we see the opening.
