Fence Gates and Gate Hardware in Lubbock, Amarillo and Midland

The gate is the part of a fence that moves every day, so it’s the part that fails first when the hardware is an afterthought. All-State sells gate hardware and gates at all three Fence Supply Centers — Lubbock, Amarillo & Canyon, and Midland & Odessa — to homeowners and contractors, with no minimum order. A complete wood gate hardware kit starts at $30.80 (October 2026 price). And because our crews build and hang gates every week, the counter can tell you which hinge will still be holding in five years.

What gate hardware do you carry?

  • Wood gate hardware kits — hinges and latch together, sized for a standard wood walk gate. From $30.80.
  • Hinges — strap, T and self-closing. We carry the right hinge for whatever your gate needs.
  • Latches — padlockable black spring, sliding bolt and automatic gate latches, a key-lockable magnetic pool latch and a key-lockable gravity latch. Other latches, including higher-end ornamental iron and security chain link latches, are special order.
  • Drop rods and cane bolts to hold the inactive leaf of a double gate.
  • Gate wheels to carry the weight of a long gate so it doesn’t sag.
  • Chain link gate hardware — hinges, fork latches and drop rods for chain link gates.

The kit price is our everyday counter price before tax, as of October 2026. Contractor, school, government and volume orders pay less.

Why does a wood gate sag, and what hardware prevents it?

A gate sags for three reasons: the hinge-side post leans, the gate frame racks out of square under its own weight, or the hinges are too light for the gate. Hardware fixes only the last one, so start with the post. A gate post carries far more load than a line post and needs a heavier post set deeper; the counter will match it to your gate width. Then use hinges heavy enough for the gate, and on anything wider than a walk gate, add a gate wheel or split the opening into a double gate with a drop rod.

On wood gates, our crews set an inset diagonal 2×4 brace across the frame to hold it square, and wider wood drive gates get a metal frame. Already have a sagging gate? Our crews re-hang, re-post and rebuild gates, including ones we didn’t build. See gates in Lubbock, Amarillo & Canyon or Midland–Odessa.

Do you sell pre-built gates?

The only pre-built gates we stock are residential chain link: walk gates 36 to 60 inches wide in 4- to 6-foot heights, and double drive gates 10 and 12 feet wide. Everything else is built to fit the opening. For custom gates — welded steel frames, double-swing and cantilever roll gates — our shop builds them to your measurement, and our crews hang them. Custom and commercial gates

For wide openings, heavy use and commercial sites, All-State builds gates in our own shop: custom welded double-swing gates, and cantilever roll gates that slide behind the fence line instead of swinging. The price depends on the type and size — a walk gate, a large double gate and a cantilever gate are very different builds — plus the posts it needs and whether it’s automated. Gate openers

All-State is a LiftMaster Professional partner. LiftMaster operators and access-control parts are sold over the counter at all three Fence Supply Centers and usually arrive within a week. We also install LiftMaster operators with keypads, remotes, card readers and exit loops, and repair every make and model. Gate openers and access control →

What to bring to the counter

The opening width, post to post. The gate height and what it’s made of. Whether it swings in or out, and which side it hinges on. For a double gate, whether both leaves open or one stays put. With those, the counter hands you the right hinges, latch, drop rod and posts in one trip. Gate posts →

No minimum order; delivery from $75 ($150 from Midland). Contractors, schools and government buyers get discounted pricing, with deeper discounts by volume, and charge accounts are set up case by case. The Lubbock Fence Supply Center is open Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm — when most people hang a gate.
