Gothic Point
The Gothic Point style is a traditional fence that has been around for more than half a century. This fence looks great in any landscape setting. Some home owners prefer this type of fence for security reasons, as the pointed ends of the pickets make it difficult for a person to climb. Even though the boards are installed flush together, they will shrink after the first couple of weeks, as all fencing lumber is green when received from the lumber mills. If there are concerns about gaps between the pickets after shrinkage, the Board on Board or the Board & Bat styles are suggested as their designs eliminate the shrinkage problem.
